Senior Services

TJFS seeks to maintain the independence and dignity of seniors, through services that address the physical and emotional challenges of aging.

Our Senior Services staff, including licensed social workers and case managers, specialize in senior issues. Professional staff can also assist adult children with resources and options.
Our services include:

Counseling:

We offer help for the senior adult, single or married, who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, or adjustment difficulties due to losses, illness, financial issues, or other life stressors. Senior adults are seen at the TJFS office or at senior facilities.

CareLink:

The CareLink program provides a comprehensive in-home evaluation that assesses the needs and well-being of the senior adult. Information and referrals are provided to the senior and family to help maximize independence and quality of life. Ongoing support is also available to help families have peace of mind.

Jewish Outreach:

A senior outreach specialist is available for visits to residents in senior facilities. Residents are remembered at holiday time, with special gift bags. Shabbat on Wheels provides a weekly Friday afternoon pre-Shabbat services at area assisted living facilities.
