Staff:
Master level, experienced professional therapists, under qualified supervision, provide all clinical services. TJFS staff also includes a Food Bank/Volunteer Coordinator, Senior Care Coordinators and Administrative Staff.
Confidentiality:
Confidentiality is TJFS’s first priority. The agency makes strict efforts to ensure confidentiality from the moment an individual makes contact. Names and information cannot be given to anyone without the permission of the person receiving services.
TJFS knows that reaching out for help is difficult. However, this is why the Agency exists.
Eligibility:
The Counseling Program of Tampa Jewish Family Services, Inc. is available to residents of the Tampa area. The Counseling Program follows the lead of the National Association of Social Workers and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, ethnic background, national origin, gender, sexual preference, handicap, ability to pay, or age.
The TJFS counseling program does not work with certain populations and refers these populations to more appropriate providers within the community.
· Clients who are currently abusing alcohol and other drugs
· Clients who initially present with suicidal, homicidal and/or assultive ideation and are unable to state that they are certain that they will not act on this ideation
Appointments:
The office is open Monday – Thursday 9:00 AM – 5:00 Pm and on Friday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Early morning and evening appointments may be available by appointment.
Fees:
TJFS provides counseling on a sliding scale according to income. TJFS also accepts Medicare and many third party insurance companies. No one is denied services due to an Inability to pay.
