Winter Holiday Gift Donations
December 24, 2009
During the week of December 21st, TJFS filled the wish lists of over 50 families and over 100 seniors with the help of local synagogues. By working together, many families from our community donated toys, clothes, household essentials and personal care products for our food bank clients.
This impact of our community’s kindness was clear by the reactions of the recipients. As one mother said, after receiving her gifts with tears in her eyes, “This is truly overwhelming. Thank you so much for your generosity. Thank you….thank you…thank you!”

Those who donated were entered to win an autographed Jeff Halpern hockey stick. Over 50 gifts were collected and will be distributed to families who cannot afford to give their children gifts this holiday season.
